Main Functions:
- Controls Double-Acting Cylinders:
This valve alternates airflow to both sides of the cylinder, allowing it
to move forward and backward. When the solenoid is activated, air enters
one side of the cylinder and the other side is exhausted; when the
solenoid is deactivated, the airflow is reversed, causing the cylinder to
move to the opposite position.
- Automatic Airflow Control:
Acts as an automatic air switch — it opens the airflow when an electrical
signal is given and closes the airflow when the signal is stopped.
- Industrial Automation Systems:
Used in industrial automation processes like packaging, assembly, and
filling, where actuators are electrically controlled for precise movement.
- Safety or Fail-Safe Systems:
With a normally closed (NC) configuration, the valve will automatically
close during a power failure, enhancing system safety.
